Below is the content of the 2 files, but something jumped in my brain,
could it be
a firewall problem ? I'm connecting mostly behind livebox which are
adsl wifi routers from wanadoo in france, they are frankly strange to
tell the less. The main thing is that they update/upgrade themselves
automatically from the net. Could it be that ?
here is my /etc/hosts:
root at ubu-chaotic:/etc# cat hosts
127.0.0.1 localhost ubu-chaotic
127.0.1.1 ubu-chaotic
# The following lines are desirable for IPv6 capable hosts
::1 ip6-localhost ip6-loopback
fe00::0 ip6-localnet
ff00::0 ip6-mcastprefix
ff02::1 ip6-allnodes
ff02::2 ip6-allrouters
ff02::3 ip6-allhosts
and here is my /etc/resolv.conf:
cat /etc/resolv.conf
nameserver 192.168.1.111
