Quit... bypasses the logout dialog

My Ubuntu Dapper desktop behaves this way, but my Edubuntu Dapper laptop
still displays the dialogue. Fraid i don't know why though :/

Sorry, but i dont know what command is being called to do the
logout/options screen.
