Openoffice 2.0 on Ubuntu 6.06?

To everyone who read this message thread:  Thank you for taking your 
time to read and think about it.

This was a case of self-inflicted system confusion by not doing proper 
cleanup prior to upgrading.

What finally worked was ...
    In a terminal:  sudo dpkg -r openoffice.org
                            cd /opt
                            sudo rm -r openoffice.org2.0
    Started Synaptic Package Manager
    It showed OOo still installed for some reason
    I selected all openoffice.org items, selected them to be removed and 
applied the changes.
    In a terminal:  sudo apt-get install openoffice.org
    I rebooted just for the fun of it.

OOo 2.0.2 seems to work like it is supposed to, now.

All I can say is ... phew!
