Administration screens gone..

I'm not sure.. I also lost the 'Users and Groups' screen so I can't
really check.  If I check the /etc/passwd file then the main group is
the same as the username.  

I guess I should do a: 

  sudo usermod <my_username> --groups admin --append  

?
