maildirs, dovecot, mail client help

He didn't even mention a config issue with Dovecot (in this thread - there
was something questionable in the original un-titled thread, but it looked
more like bad user expectations than an error).  There's nothing apparently
wrong with the directories mb2md created.  I really think if you start
pointing mail programs at the dovecot maildirs, you run the risk of making
the messages inaccessible to dovecot. 

The best way to handle it is to point your mail client at the local IMAP
server.  Create an IMAP folder from inside your mail client.  Create a
sub-folder for that folder.  Then take the directories created by mb2md and
rename them to the same structure, and make sure they have the same
permissions.
