Can't build Kernel under Dapper / 6.06 - SOLVED

[Harry Courtice]

This seems to be building  now.

I had been using the sources in /usr/src/linux-source-2.6.15.tar.bz2. This
has the missing files

I donwloaded the sources from www.kernel.org and now builds fine.

I suspect you are missing the linux-kernel-devel package ("sudo apt-get
install linux-kernel-devel").

You may want to combine the info in the following two instructions with the
UML kernel build instructions that you have looked at previously:

Also; when trying to find missing files and the packages in which they are
contained, this site ( http://packages.ubuntu.com/ ) may be useful.
