which kernel being used in latest ubuntu?

Searched your website and the information on which
linux kernel in latest distribution is nowhere to be
found...

Does 6.10 use kernel 2.6.18.2?  Or, an earlier
version?  Will 6.10 downloaded in the future, say
February 07, then have a later version kernel 2.3.19.x
or will it still be using that earlier one?

Reason I ask: important in that new Intel Core 2 Duo
chips apparently need a recent kernel, SMP, to
correctly have both cores running at the same
frequency.  As per your forum entry:
