Do be careful with this. So far, I'm having serious problems with
Kubuntu 6.10. If you have an LCD screen, you may or may not be able to
boot with KDM - on some attempts I get either a black screen or an "Out
of Range" error message. It takes multiple attempts to get the the
system up.
Sound doesn't work. I have a Soundblaster Live! on my system. As vanilla
as that is, I haven't been able to get it to work.
Some of the configuration tools are flawed. The Samba tool, for example,
doesn't seem to have a way to get into administrative mode - although it
knows you need to.
I'd reconsider switching to Kubuntu until they clean a few things up.
