Alternative to GNUCash (Personal)

I would add that, while I have never used kmymoney (or any other 
financial software) to connect directly to my bank (I'm not even sure 
what that means), most financial institutions allow you to save 
information into quicken compatible files, which you can then import 
into kmymoney.
