The IMAPrev4 had nothing to do with IMAP revision 4. It was an alternate 
implementation of the IMAP client, and it was always experimental and 
broken. "IMAP" supports everything that IMAPrev4 supports. Bugs in 
IMAPrev4 have been being closed with the developers telling everyone who 
complained to use IMAP instead. It was shocking to me that this was 
never mentioned in the documentation and that it took years for it to be 
removed from the default installation.
