Firefox won't start (!)

Don't overlook the obvious:
1) Reboot and try again
2) Login as a different user and try again
3) Rename the .mozilla directory in $HOME, then try again
4) Delete the .mozilla directory in $HOME, then try again
My guess is the solution to your problem is in $HOME/.mozilla
