LAMP server setup

Hi folks,

Broadband connection via ADSL modem 
--> telephone line
Dynamic IP

I Ran "ubuntu-6.06.1-server-amd64" and selected "Install a LAMP Server"
to install "Ubuntu LAMP Server".

This is a test on building a webserver.  I have neither "domain name"
nor fixed IP address.

The server is up running.  On text scrolling at boot MySQL server is
also started which, I suppose, is default installation.

I'm following 2 documents below to proceed;

Now my problem is I can't resolve how to connect Internet via ISP by
reading the above documents.  pppoe is not running on the server.  I am
stuck unabling to install other packages.  Please help.  TIA
