Setting up a simple Web Server

In that case I actually strongly suggest you just use an online
gallery / photoblog site. .  MUCH easier.  To run your own web server
you will need to have your PC always on, and have it accessible on a
fixed IP on the Internet, which opens a whole can of security worms.

Installing the web server is not difficult, just gettin 'apache2' with
Synaptic Package Manager should do it, but managing and maintaining it
can be a headache.
