edgy upgrade problem

Why has my upgrade to Edgy screwed up my wireless connection? No
warning beforehand that things might be different and no information
after the event explaining that it might happen and this is how you fix
it.

I rather hoped that those bad old days were over.  Seemingly not.
Fortunately, I didn't upgrade my main desktop machine.

Is there a webpage somewhere that explains how I get things working
again?  I did Google, but couldn't find the answer.
