About X on server

I have installed "links2", "w3m", "lynx" and "elinks".  None of the
former 3 works here except "elinks".

$ lynx yahoo.com
started yahoo webpage but failed to login with following warning popup;

SSL error: can't find common name in Certificate-Continue (y)
* end *

Then I followed the doc "Lynx SSL support for certificates -
README.sslcerts file"

Tried to run
# string libcrypto.a | grep -in cert | less

but failed to find "libcrypto.a"

Therefore I installed "elinks" instead.   Now I'm running elinks, but
not easy to natvigate.  No copy/paste function nor language support. 
For copy/paste function I need a special keyboard.
