Oh, ok. That shouldn't be necessary, but shouldn't hurt anything either.

So, when you get a chance, review the documentation on the cups website.
Since you can get to http://127.0.0.1:631/ it should now be possible to
setup your printer from the cups admin page. Read the documentation
first! Once you've done that, setting up a printer should be very easy.
