Problems playing Flash Video .flv files on Edgy Eft

Hi

I've googled and googled and can't find a solution.

I've tried mplayer, ffplay/ffmpeg, xine, (kaffeine), vlc... all of them just 
say (a lot):

[flv @ 0xb7f07110]Unsupported video codec (4)

My friend has a debian/etch box and it plays with mplayer on that, so I know 
it's not the video file itself.

I've enabled loads of repositories, {mult,un}iverse, backports, medibuntu... 
(sources.list below)

I've even followed compile from source solutions, and that's not worked 
either.

What am I missing?
