Hi all

I tried the ndiswrapper (the one that came on the ubuntu 6.06 cd) in
conjunction with my 2wire wireless usb adapter. I just tried it with the
generic drivers from the CD that came with my internet service package
(i have qwest highspeed wireless DSL internet service..), but there was
a problem.

I would chdir (or cd, however you want to view it) over to the directory
where the cd was mounted, then over to the drivers directory, then
i would execute: ndiswrapper -i WlanUIG.inf (this is the wireless
drivers inf file)

the ndiswrapper would copy over the required files no problem at all.

I then ran "depmod" no problems

Then, i ran "modprobe" and the kernel locked up, luckily i was in the
GUI mode so i could close out teh console and run a new session, so i
did, i ran dmesg so i could view my log and it gave me a whole bunch of
errors with the ndiswrapper, mainly concerning the part with my wireless
adapter. It wouldnt load teh driver modules. What is causing this?
