Have installed a firewire card, (3 external ports )
results of lsmod .. with camera set on "PC connection mode" ( same
results when set on "playback")

$ lsmod | grep raw
raw1394                30956  0
serio_raw               7300  0
ieee1394              299832  3 dv1394,raw1394,ohci1394
squareyes at here:~$ lsmod | grep 1349
rtc                    13492  0

Does this help?

I have no idea of how to access camera from command line.

Thanks in advance,
Take Care
