Fiesty: We have a Root Acct now?

Took the plunge and moved from 6.06 to 7.04. I had partition problems right
away. Checked out the forums and it seems its fairly common at the moment. I
disconnected my hd's and then used the partition manager to wipe one drive
clean. Then using the install program it would finally work. But, I have ran
into a odd problem.

I entered all the data during setup and when I finally got to my desktop, my
user account and password were invalid. There is only a root account. And it
wont allow me to create anther one.

Suggestions.
