Heya,

FF does this in one click, but it's disabled by default (wonder why).

in about:config, enable the options 

middlemouse.contentLoadURL 
middlemouse.paste

Then, when you have a URL (or part of it!) in the clipboard (any of the two), 
you just middle-click in the background of a FF window, i.e., anywhere not in 
a link/button.

If you "paste" a word like this, instead of a URL, FF will ask google for the 
domain most likely to be it. Try with "google", or something of your own.

Now, who loves FF? \o/
