Thanks, but that stuff is all done. Compiz "sorta" works. Without window
decorations, and a 'tad' unstable.

My laptop has been quite solid with compiz, and I have a new Vidcard on
the way for the workstations, see if that improves things.  It's not a
big deal either way, but thanks anyway for the suggestion.
