The Student Edition of Software Bisque's TheSky will be available for 
Linux in the next few months ...
The new version is dubbed   TheSkyX  (X for cross-platform) and will 
run on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux ...
The full version with telescope control for all 3 platforms is 
expected out by around the end of the year ....

The other suggestions already made are obviously worth checking, of course ...
