Terminal prompt

I need help with my terminal prompt.

After having attempted to mount my macosx partition, my terminal prompt 
changed to "tvawter at tvawter-pb4:~$".  The  "@tvawter-pb4" was added.  I 
would like to get rid of this.  I have looked in /etc/profile, ~/.bash 
and /etc/bash.bashrc, but I am unclear on what to change.  I am also 
unclear on why my prompt changed at all.
