can't log on - forgot password (oops)

Hi,

I have VMWare Workstation running on a Windows XP machine, and I created a
virtual machine with Ubuntu 7.04 OS on it.  Stupidly enough, I had to choose
a random password that I've gone and forgotten, so now I can't log on.  Is
there anyway I can recover/reset the password and use this VM without
reinstalling it?
