'ttf_fonts.tar.gz (msttcorfonts)

Can anyone one tell me how to install 'ttf_fonts.tar.gz' to use MS fonts?  sort of new at Ubuntu, 

sudo apt-get install msttcorefonts would not work for me.  Both Universe and Multi Universe is enabled.  Below is No canidate message.
