install on a Samsung P55 Notebook

Hi,

i can not install ubuntu 7.10 on this machine:
http://notebook.samsung.de/article.asp?artid=C13F41B0-2E3C-42DA-9BA4-745A9E93596F&show=specs

which has an Intel PM965 chipset.

When booting the CD, i get this error:

for 0000:01:00.0

Any help is appreciated.
