I think (I'm using Kubuntu so I can't vouch for this) that he wants you
to go to System-Administration-Networking , click eth0, then click
Deactivate.
Then, if that doesn't work (try restarting then opening a website), you
would reactivate it, then deactivate the other (eth1).
