Boot menu.

In turning on the desktop computer when the Boot menu comes up it has
three lisitngs for linux and two for windowsXP.  How do I change that
menu?  The editor seems to show the single linux and windowXP enteries
but not the others in the screen menu.  Any help will be appreciated.
