Disable Screen Locking

I'm building a linux system for my mom and would like to hide as much of 
the multi user aspect of the system as I can.  At least initially.

I've set the system up to automatically log her in on boot, and told the 
screensaver not to lock.  The remaining problem I see is that the system 
locks the display when it hibernates.

How can I prevent this?

Also, is there a way I can remove the switch user option from the power 
menu?  I'm running Edgy.
