Getmail / procmail / ???

Glad to answer. I'm *NOT* running getmail / procmail right now.

kmail / spamassassin has a tendency to hang when retrieving mail. While the 
fault is in spamassassin, the external result is that there is a hang while 
new mail is being processed. I've had several people tell me the fix is to 
use a fetchmail (getmail) / procmail frontend to spamassassin and have kmail 
simply filter the mail into its various folders.

I'm more than willing to make changes, but this one is new to me - hence the 
question.
