Upgrade to Edgy failing on X11R6 error

Try running
sudo aptitude dist-upgrade
and
sudo apt-get -f install
alternately , until the system sorts itself out ;-)
The idea of re-running dist-upgrade is that if needed, it should remove as
well as install packages - and the idea of using aptitude
dist-upgrade rather than apt-get is that aptitude is a bit smarter, to put
it in highly technical terms ;-)
With luck, this approach will eventually result in 0 packages to install, 0
to remove 0 to upgrade etc - then you will know that your ordeal is
over....
Of course, I may be wrong, and this might not do it for you, but it's worth
a shot !
