What's up with Google?

Actually, this may or may not be specifically Ubuntu related, but I
discovered the problem using Ubuntu, and hadn't checked it on any other
OS yet.
WTF is up with Google? I tried to do a Google search just now only to be
greeted by a 403 error that said my system may be infected. Hey! This is
Ubuntu! It has no viruses, since I only get my apps from trusted
sources, the Ubuntu repos and official web sites. I have tried with
firefox 2 and the firefox 3 alpha build as well as links, lynx and w3m.
All give me the same 403 page telling me that it looks like my system is
infected. The only way I was able to do a Google search was by signing
into my gmail account and searching from there. Has anyone else noticed
this strange behaviour? Is it just me? Could my system actually be
infected somehow as unlikely as that seems? Should I be typing in
something for the URL other than www.google.com now in order to bypass
this rather alarming message? And lastly, doesn't Google realise how
many people they may be needlessly frightening by posting such a page,
especially the Windows users of the world?
Peace and long life,
Lorenzo
