Internet Exploder functionality

I keep running into business websites that have embedded functionality that
doesn't seem to work with anything other than Internet Explorer -- certain
buttons you press to add or change information, that sort of thing. In a
similar vein, one website automatically rejects the (correct) login name and
password unless its entered via IE.

Any workarounds for this sort of thing? I have Firefox, Opera, and
Navigator, and they all encounter the same problem.
