if fluxbox is here then apt-get remove ubuntu-desktop is okay?

am on UbuntuPPC7.04 and UbuntuStudio

if i could manage to set up fluxbox correct
is it okay to do
apt-get remove ubuntu-desktop
what about purge?
and non-en-language aspect
do i have to struggle finding out
how to make the japanese input work
once again?

at this moment am reading

but right click brings the menu "fluxbox" only
well .. so this thing is "later" oriented
but am ultra curious
