Ubuntu 7.0.4 - wireless config question

If you used the default network tool to configure wireless, then it
should work the same way. The problem is that it asks for you to create
a keyring to store the WEP keys. And when the keyring is created, as
soon as you log in, and it sees the network, it will prompt for the
passphrase / password for the keyring... and the window prompting you
for it will disappear into an icon even while you are typing the keyring
(or BEFORE if you don't see it soon enough). So... What you do is:

1) Log on.
2) Type your keyring password (whether you see a prompt for it or not).

Then watch the little dots of the network monitor go from black to one
of them (bottom one) green (as it negociates) to both green (when
connected).
