I can't say I like that solution, as it avoids the use of the gui
altogether. While it will work for a specific example, I assume the OP
really _wants_ to be able to browse. There are two obvious solutions:
1) in your filebrowser, right click on the file(s), choose "open with..."
and use "kdesu rm" or "gksudo rm" (or whatever the Gnome sudo app is
called).
2) run the filebrowser with sudo (ie: sudo, kdesu or gksudo). For
KDE, "sudo konqueror". For gnome "sudo nautilus", perhaps?
