Hello,

 

Finally solved,  found an useful tool “auto915resolution” which automates
the screen resolution process. Here is the link with instructions and the
tool available for download
 just in case that anybody else need it in the
future.

can you send your xorg.conf?

 I am trying to setup my vid card (Intel 945GM) to 1280x800. Tried with
915resolution (915resolution 5c 1280 800) even including a modeline in the
xorg.conf but it doesn´t appears in the screen resolution dialog box, only
appears 1024x768.

If somebody have a tip I will appreciate it.
