Live CD/Partitioning ?

Thanks for the replies but never got an answer to the
part question. I was running Feisty on 128 MB via an
Adept dist-upgrade, salvaged with aptitude.  So, Ill
stay with 384 MB ram for the live CD reinstall.  But,
I really need to know if I can save my $HOME part in
the extended part. And some clues as to how. Maybe no
one knows? I've visited, read all the sourceforge
howtos on partition savings but saw nothing on saving
something in the extended part.  Any comment welcomed
before I start the live CD install.
