How old is your laptop?

I know one who had a laptop that reguarly shut down due to overheating.
This was solved by opening it up and removing all the dust that was in
the cooling elements (when opening, know what you are doing and ensure
you have a manual on how to do so). For him, that solved the problem...

Typically this happens over a few years depending on how dusty your
environment is...
