Unfortunately I don't have the money to throw around at something that
doesn't work for me.  If a lower priced unit that uses standard size
batteries comes along I will certainly vote for it by buying it.  Until
then, I guess I'm just stuck with mp3, since I do hate restricted
formats, but I hate high priced proprietary batteries more.  I really
like the low priced NiMH batteries I buy and want to be able to use them
in my music player, especially when I can buy 24 of them for the same or
lower price than just one of the proprietary batteries most high-end
audio players use, and most of those can't be removed easily if
something goes wrong with them.
