high cpu useage

the right hand column has a command heading so that must be the programs you
are referring to. /usr/bin/X :0 -br -audit 0 -auth /var/lib/gdm/:0,Xauth
-nolist (that is as far as I can read on that line.
In terms of time /usr/lib/firefox/firefox-bin is coming in second place.
Right Time for the former is 6:11 and the latter is running at 5:19.
Trailing is gnome-system-monitor at about 2:20. Also a big users it gkrellm
--sm-client at 1:39.
All the rest are running less than thirty seconds . . . without the gkrellm
to control the fan speed on this Dell I don't think I would be able to use
Ubuntu. I am not sure what the first command is. Does that help? Is it
fixable?
