7.04: X11 remote display problem

Hi,
I have just noticed that I can't open X applications on my server with
my laptop as the display. I have used this for years with other Linux
versions and apart from remembering to type 'xhost +' on the laptop
it has always worked fine. My server is under the desk and normally
has no display connected. I can access it fine using ssh, but when I
try to open emacs or any other X applications I get
	Error: Can't open display: felix:0.0
felix is my laptop, and I had remembered to type 'xhost +' first.
Do I need to tell something, if so, what?
