can't sync Treo 650 to Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy

I didn't even get it working with an older Palm

I think the problem's in the way the device names are assigned.  Last time I
had my Palm working with kpilot, it was on /dev/ttyUSB*, but now
it's /dev/bus/...
