I have had two computers connected in a network, one pc connected via wire 
(static address), and the other wireless (dhcp).

I could do ssh from the wireless pc to the other pc, but I could not do ssh 
the other way.

I am now using wire, as it is more stable and faster for me.

Hope it gives you some ideas.

I am using KDE, but I used Nautilus file manager for my ssh, and also the 
command line worked (of course).
