Hi Tross

My guess is that at least some of your video codecs didn't update properly. My 
suggestion woould be to go into synaptic package manager and uninstall then 
reinstall the codecs and/or players. All videos are working fine on my gutsy 
systems. If that hasn't fixed  it. try searching for dvd, mpeg, mpg, avi, and 
maybe codec in synaptic and look at the descriptions of the packages to get 
an idea which ones will help. The restricted formats will show under a search 
for dvd for example.
