Broken system! need help

I was trying to copy ubuntu to a dvd to install it on a computer but it
seems to have a problem. I close the copy application and rebooted the
computer for another reason but I forgot the dvd inside. Apparently, it was
partially burned and the computer used it to reboot. Now the computer
write:" on-system or disk error, replace and strike any key when ready." The
trouble is it doesn't accept any dvd and I can't log in using ssh? Does
anybody know what I could try?
