I had a similar situation with a win2k install on a new computer. The
"drivers cd" complained that it was only for use with XP/Vista. I
eventually went to the chipset manufacturer (Intel) and downloaded
drivers to manually install. First, I had to get the NIC driver and
transfer it over via USB stick though.
The Edubuntu side *should* be just fine.
