vsftp Problems

Thanks for taking the time to read this...


Got it installed but when i want to run it it says

500 OOPS: vsftpd: cannot open config file: start

I got permission for the etc folder and the vsftpd.conf file.. it can
read it and everything.. but i have no idea what the problem is... 

as you can see i need your help... i look for the answer in the forums
but it seem like nobody else had the same problem..
