hpijs-ppds update appears stalled in "preparation"

Open a terminal session. Then type "ps -A | grep adept", take note of the
pid and then do "sudo kill pid". Once that's done do "sudo apt-get --purge
remove hpijs-ppds" and followup with a "sudo apt-get install hpijs-ppds".
